On behalf of the Summerside Lobster Carnival Executive and the hundreds of volunteers who work so very hard to ensure a memorable experience for all, I welcome you to the Summerside Lobster Carnival presented by Red Shores at Summerside. This year marks the 55th Anniversary of the Lobster Carnival and what a celebration we have planned. There is something for young and old alike. From the experiential culinary delights of the “Lobster Suppers” to rubbing elbows at the “Celebrity Dinner” with an Gold Medal Olympian and NHL Stars. You won’t want to miss the all new “Family Day” at the Midway grounds and wait until you see what we have done with the “Parade!" So for”Small City Fun with Big City Entertainment and Events”, The Summerside Lobster Carnival is the place to be!

Being a milestone year, this year’s celebration holds special significance for the Summerside Rotary Club, the Summerside Legion and all carnival enthusiasts. The Summerside Lobster Carnival has long held a special place in the hearts of Islanders and tourists who participate in this annual celebration. It is a celebration of our culture, our traditions, our achievements and of course - Lobster!

Community means different things to different people. But for nine very special days in July the term takes on a special meaning as it stands to signify the joining of tradition and celebration within our community, with one common goal – the enrichment of lives, the sharing of friendships, and the fostering of community involvement.

I want to extend a warm thank you to our partners, volunteers, and carnival goers from all over who join us every year to share in the good times and help build memories within our community that will last a lifetime. Have fun and lots of it!!
